There's no cancellation list and no fast track queue. The date goes straight back on the official booking service, and whoever is looking at that moment gets it. We watch for them so you don't have to sit refreshing the booking page.

How driving test cancellations work
Everyone books through the same official service. When a learner changes their date or cancels altogether, their slot is released and anyone can take it. Nobody is told when this happens, there's no queue and no waiting list, and the dates can appear at any hour, including weekends.
Popular dates are often gone within minutes. That's why learners who check now and then usually see nothing: by the time they look, the date has gone.
How to find driving test cancellations
There are two honest options.
- Check yourself. Sign in to the official booking service and look for earlier dates. It's free, but you'd need to keep doing it, often for weeks, and the good dates go while you're at work or asleep.
- Have somebody watch for you. That's what we do. You tell us your test centre and the months you can do, and we look for earlier dates and alert you by SMS and WhatsApp as soon as we find one. Reply YES to take it, or NO and we keep looking.
We usually find learners an earlier date within 1 to 2 weeks of signing up, and often within a few days. There's nothing to pay upfront, and you only pay once we've found you a test and you've said yes to it.
Cancellation apps and checkers
Plenty of apps and cancellation checkers exist. The catch with most is that they still leave the work to you: an alert arrives, you open the app, and by then the date has often gone. We take the other approach. We look on your behalf and message you on your phone, so all you have to do is reply.

These are the official figures for every centre in Great Britain. 146 of the 316 centres have no good choice of dates for 24+ weeks if you book on your own.
The centres with the shortest waits at the moment are Monmouth, Aberfeldy, Dumfries, Llanelli, Pembroke Dock, Cardigan.

The rules to know before you change anything
- Give at least 10 full working days' notice when you cancel, or you'll pay for your test again.
- You can only change a car test 2 times.
- You can only have one test booked at a time.
These rules come from GOV.UK and can change, so check there before you change anything.

How do I find driving test cancellations?
There's no cancellation list to join. What time of day do cancellations come up?
Any time. A date frees up whenever another learner changes or cancels theirs, so they appear right through the day and at weekends. That's why checking once in a while rarely works.
Is there a driving test cancellation app?
There are apps, but you don't need one with us. Everything comes to your phone by SMS and WhatsApp, and for a date only days away we'll ring you as well, which you'll see faster than an app notification.
Are there cancellations at every test centre?
Most centres see them, but busy ones see far more simply because more tests are taken there. Our waiting times table shows how booked up each one is, and every centre has its own page with the wait and the pass rate.
Can I get a short notice or last minute test?
Yes. When somebody drops out days before their test, the date goes back on the system. Those go quickly, so we ring you as well as messaging you when we find one.
What if I've already got a test booked?
You can only hold one test at a time, so you'd need to cancel your current one before we start looking. Cancel with at least 10 full working days' notice so you don't lose your fee, and think twice if your current date is only a few weeks away.
