Test centre address: Unit 11, Christie Park, West Didsbury, Greater Manchester M21 7QY
West Didsbury is one of the busiest driving test centres in the country, with 17,806 car tests in a year. That made it the 4th busiest of around 320 centres.
The centre is at Christie Park in south Manchester, so it's the local choice for learners in Didsbury, Chorlton, Withington and Fallowfield.
With that many learners, dates in the months ahead go quickly. Sale is the closest other centre, under 3 miles away, and you can see how it compares further down.
How long is the wait at West Didsbury driving test centre?
If you book at West Didsbury on your own, the first week with a good choice of free dates is 24+ weeks away. That's about the same as most test centres.
You don't have to wait that out or keep checking yourself. Earlier dates come free as driving test cancellations, when other learners move or cancel theirs, and we watch for them on your behalf. We usually find learners an earlier test date within 1 to 2 weeks of signing up, and often within a few days. The test itself may still be a few weeks away, but it's earlier than the date you'd get booking on your own.
See how that compares with the wait at every test centre in the country.
