Lorry and bus tests run from the same site. Learners come from Berwick, Tweedmouth, Spittal, Eyemouth, Coldstream, Norham, Belford and Wooler, and from across the border.
666 car tests were taken there in a year, and it's one of the better centres to pass at: 53.9%, above the 50% across Great Britain.
Duns is about 13 miles away and Kelso about 20, both across the border in Scotland. Alnwick is about 27 miles down the A1.
How long is the wait at Berwick driving test centre?
If you book at Berwick on your own, the first week with a good choice of free dates is 24+ weeks away. That's about the same as most test centres.
You don't have to wait that out or keep checking yourself. We usually find learners an earlier test date within 1 to 2 weeks of signing up, and often within a few days. The test itself may still be a few weeks away, but it's earlier than the date you'd get booking on your own.
